WHAT TO DO BEFORE, AFTER AND WHILE ON AN INTERVIEW
With lots of people seeking the same employment, one question many people ask is how could i make it in the interview and make the job mine? Well, we all know your resume matters, it is the very best reflection of how qualified you are for a certain position. But in order for you to make the list for that job position, you will need to equip your self with the very weapons to excel over every other applicants. That is, you have to impress the employer or interviewer in the job interview.
What TO DO
Before Your Interview:
Do make sure you are prepared with how you would look at the interview. The way you dress up would leave a lot of impressions to the interviewer. Do not put on too much accessories, you just have to put on something decent, well ironed, and your shoes should be well cleaned or polished. Do take note of your teeth as well, it could result to distraction in the interview if you left a piece of meat or other stains between your teeth.
Do your research and know the company you are applying at. How could you go about this? Research about the facts, poilcy and figures of the company you are applying for empployment. By having this informations about it, you would be ready to answer whatever questions the interviewer would want to ask effectively. You could even try to associate your answers to some facts you have acquired about the company.
Expect and prepare for different questions to be asked and be at alert by having ready answers to some frquently asked interviews questions. And on the other hand, also be prepared to ask questions.
On the interview:
Be Punctual – Punctuality really matters alot in most interviews. There is always need for you to arrive early for the interview no matter the distance. Since this would be the best first acts and impression you could give, do ensure to arrive early. When you arrive late for an interview, you are already on a move to give your employer a negative impression which will be very bad for your chances of getting employed.
Be Professional – Ensure to act as a professional to everyone you come across as you are yet to know who you are meeting. With this kind of approach, you would have been able to introduce your self as someone professional enough and ready to take the challenges of being proffesional.
Keep Eye Contact – Make sure you answer questions with eye contact to your interviewer. Be attentive when questions are asked and try not to look away. Interviewers use this in determining your level of concetration.
After the interview:
Remember to say thank you to the interview. Saying thank you to the interviewer is a great act you could do after the interview. No matter how the interview goes, this will show that you take the interview as a big part of your experience.
